Barclays Bank Tanzania has announced the launch of its ‘Maisha Bomba’ with Barclays Golden Briefcase’ campaign to its Existing and Potential customers. The Bank will run a deposit mobilization campaign that will give customers an opportunity to win different prizes on a monthly basis for a period of three months. Upon depositing and maintaining the threshold, every customer (new and existing) will enter into a draw where 13 customers will walk away with different prizes and the grand prize winner will walk away with TZS 10,000,000. Barclays Hosts”Unlocking Youth Potential” Training

On 19th October 2013, Barclays Tanzania employees volunteered to visit young entrepreneurs (out-of-school youth) between the ages of 11-35 years for a coaching session where the employees provided skills and shared the platform to enrich and encourage young people to develop their entrepreneurial ideas. The main objective was for Barclays to provide insights and advice to a young person on how to start/ grow small business.

Due to the unpredictable nature of financial markets, and the volatility that has been seen in the past in both the local and international currencies, the importance of hedging exposure has become a necessity if businesses are to thrive and remain profitable.

These products are offered to our existing corporate customers, with the aim of reducing and managing their various exposures and thus offering protection against adverse market movements.
